We know that the world has never been sicker, even as we continue to live longer thanks to modern healthcare. This has to make us wonder: if our healthcare is so stellar, why are we all suffering more in this longer life of ours? Are the same poisons and illnesses that shortened lifespans many years ago simply taking longer to kill us? Are we barely surviving in the name of a longer lifespan? Perhaps this is just a dialogue meant to appease the people.
In 2023, we expect to see 1,958,310 new cancer cases and 609,820 cancer deaths to occur in the United States. Cancer is a leading cause of death worldwide, accounting for nearly 10 million deaths in 2020. What may be less known, is that each year, approximately 400,000 children develop cancer! The worldwide obesity rate has nearly doubled since 1980. The World Obesity Federation’s 2023 atlas predicts that 51% of the world, or more than 4 billion people, will be obese or overweight within the next 12 years. It comes with the warning that we need to "bring it under control", but where are we being educated on how to do this? Here's another alarming statistic: 422 million people worldwide have diabetes, the majority living in low-and middle-income countries, and 1.5 million deaths are directly attributed to diabetes each year. According to the CDC, autism in children is roughly 241% higher than estimates from 2000, meaning 1 in 36 children. In 2019-2020, 20.78% of adults were experiencing a mental illness. That is equivalent to over 50 million Americans.
I am going to go ahead and assume that you, like me, are not very surprised by these numbers. However, we as a society have begun to operate under the mindset that being sick is just normal. Yes, it is alright for us to have a cold or flu, aches and pains on occasion. Illness is our body telling us that something isn't working right so we are to attend to the issue. Then, when the body is in its prime condition, it is able to self heal. What illness is NOT: a constant state of being or long-suffering. Diabetes, heart attacks, auto-immune disorders, mental illnesses and more indicate a serious underlying problem coupled with the failure of the body to heal.
In our modern day, we are woefully undereducated about our bodies. There are so many people who were even unaware that the body is a miraculous self-healer. Once we get sick, due to anything from headaches to infections, the doctor is our first choice. We explicitly trust that years of medical school and knowledge of which drug to administer are the answer. Here's an example of where the confusion may set in: chemotherapy is widely known, not to cure cancers in most cases, but effecting the patient's survival rate 5-10 years after diagnosis. We are fearful of the thought of what would happen without chemo, and rightfully so. I would be too! So we go ahead with the therapy, relying on it alone to prolong our life. We are never told about how to combat the effects of the chemo naturally, not given confidence that we can indeed beat the cancer and live to a ripe old age if we strengthen our immune systems through whole food diets, detoxes, fasting, exercising, incorporating anti-cancer foods into our diet, and spiritually feeding ourselves well enough to get off chemo quicker. Our fear and disheartened state has been exploited into believing that cancer is the end all be all. In fact, with the various types of cancers and the differences in our body chemistry, chemo is even less effective than we think it is. As you can see from my example above, I am NOT saying we should not visit the doctor, take the medicines or rely on healthcare. We all need life saving support in our lives, and it is a blessing. However, I am encouraging you to face illnesses with more than just the doctor's advice. Arm yourselves with true wisdom and you will see: you absolutely can conquer any sickness, from cancer to diabetes, if you have the right tools and mindset. Doctors and medicine treat only symptoms, which in our "microwave society" affects us on a psychological level to believe that we are on the way to recovery. Sadly, every root cause is being masked with pain relief and side effects until we are sicker than before. Here's another truth: our healthcare industries are out to make profits off of us being repeat visitors.
My friends, I understand that each person is so different so we can't know what works for one person to the next. If so, why are we quick to all take the same exact medications? Just as a dosage and drug combination can affect people differently, so too can subtle lifestyle changes be customized to your health and body type for lasting holistic healing. I hope I can help you in this journey so you may be well again.
